Mission

Scanning probe microscopy (SPM) Expert and Tutorial Center is aimed at providing a long-standing comprehensive experience for expert consulting as well as advanced characterization and training in the field of scanning probe microscopies and nanosciences in general. In particular we offer:
  1. Solving your problems on micro- and nano-scale by employing our SPM facilities and by developing and/or consulting specific experimental procedures

  2. Assistance with your SPM data analysis
Getting SPM pictures is easy these days. Yet the challenge lies in answering the question whether they are correct, without artifacts, and what is their real meaning.

  3. Advanced SPM tutorials
    1. experiments: hands-on experience with your samples of interest
    2. lectures: range of presentations about applications of specific SPM regimes
The above activities are supported by:
  1. more than 15 years of experience with various SPM techniques, data analysis, as well as SPM manufacturers
  2. state-of-the-art SPM facilities (vacuum, air, electrolytes)
  3. computations

Center operation

The center activities are carried out based on:
  1. informal scientific or educational collaborations incl. public outreach
  2. formal bi-lateral agreements including financial support
